OLD Harry stands 64 feet high and the proposed 8MW Wind Turbines on the proposed Navitus Wind Farm will be some 10 times higher.
Situated some 12 nautical miles off Bournemouth Beach and allowing for dip below the horizon of 90 feet, their visible height will be some 550 feet.
This means that the turbines themselves, from beach height, will appear at more than twice the visible height of Old Harry himself, and of course from cliff height even higher.
In fact, in normal visibility the 180 or so of them, will be clearly seen, like an ugly forest on the horizon, ruining the ocean view and our part of the Jurrasic Coast forever.
