IT’S now seven days since I had a cancer operation at Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
In the apprehensive weeks before the actual day I had been so impressed by the support and care that was available and given by the NHS staff I was dubious if it would continue after hearing some of the recent stories.
There was no need for concern.
Right from the booking-in procedure at 9.15am through to the rejoining of the real world nine hours later when the procedure was over, completely painless and being nursed back well enough to leave the following day.
Seven days gone, all pain free, one or two concerns quickly and efficiently dealt with by the hospital, a visiting nurse and GP. How on earth can you criticise our NHS service? We have never had it so good.
