I AM concerned and saddened about the way our historic Borough of Poole is being mismanaged.
I perceive some recent decisions passed by the council to be: huge percentage increases in street and housing area parking charges for tenants, residents and visitors to the detriment of trade; refurbishment at great cost of the garden area in front of the Dolphin swimming pool, when a simple pressure wash would have sufficed; the provision of a cycle lane on the inside pavement around the council office roundabout which is seldom used; and of course the infamous “Twin Fails Bridge” fiasco.
I ask for Cllr Sally Carpenter to resign her position; she was not elected as a candidate for the Poole People’s Party who have lost credibility by accepting her.
If the remainder of the councillors can’t make sensible decisions instead of bickering, I request that they also, please stand down.
COLIN JOHNSON, Park Road, Poole
