I WAS an outpatient at Royal Bournemouth Hospital recently and had to be tested through four different departments.

After speedy and fantastic care by all there I waited in the main entrance for a heavy shower to pass before leaving the building and to pass the time I counted 100 persons that entered the main entrance and also counted how many actually used the hand sanitiser dispensers upon entering.

Out of the 100, only 34 did.

I always use them, upon entrance and also crossing departments, it only takes a second followed by a few seconds of 'rubbing'.

Every department or ward has these dispensers and I have yet to find one that is empty. It is a shame that not all use them.
