I’M surprised at your anonymous letter writer (perhaps they had something to hide) in their letter ‘Staff’s parking is causing us stress’, November 16. Having worked at JP Morgan I can vouch that they have an enormous car park capable of holding hundreds of cars and regular public transport laid on by the company using an entire fleet of minibuses to ferry people to and from work all day.

I fail to see what JP Morgan can do to eradicate the perceived parking problem outside of nearby residents’ homes because they have no jurisdiction over their employees outside of their own business premises.

The only conclusion is either put down more double yellow lines if the residents can prove a safety hazard or for the residents to appreciate that they too park outside other people’s homes on occasions.

It appears to boil down to, or over with, people being intolerant of each other instead of spreading the season of goodwill towards each other outside of the festive season.
