BRANKSOME United took home two pieces of silverware from the Dorset Youth Cup finals day held at King George V Playing Fields in Ferndown.

In the under-16 competition, Branksome were 1-0 down to Wimborne Town after Yiannis Ratty netted for the Magpies in the first half.

But after the restart goals from Ben Gordon and Liam House secured victory for Branksome.

The club’s under-15s team faced Bridport Youth in a repeat of the previous season’s under-14 final. David Price and Drew Campbell gave Branksome a 2-1 win.

Poole Town Youth won the under-14 cup after defeating Broadstone 2-1 with an effort from Jamie Arnold plus an own goal. Brogan Sims scored Broadstone’s consolation.

In the under-12s final, Rossgarth Youth beat Dorchester Town Youth 2-1 in extra-time courtesy of goals from George Ashby and Ashley Rylance.

Charlie Gosney had put Dorch ahead but 15 seconds from time Rossgarth levelled before they netted the winner.

Parley Sports Youth lost 5-3 to Gillingham Town Youth in the under-11 final having held a 3-1 lead in the second half.

Lennon Claydon and Mackenzie Faul scored for Parley in addition to an own goal.

Corfe Mullen won the under-10 final on penalties after they had drawn 1-1 with Poole Town FC Wessex.

Lewis Bowra scored first for Poole but Kieran Gooding equalised before Corfe Mullen went on to win a dramatic penalty shoot-out 7-6 to take the honours.
