SWIM Bournemouth surged into their fourth consecutive final in the National Arena League’s Premier Division West with a comfortable second place in round two at Millfield.

Izzy Pryce featured in four of their nine wins and Ella Bowman in three.

Pryce won the 13/u 100m breaststroke and shared in relay victories with Fran Gallimore, Hannah Stonier and Danielle Case in the 13/u medley, Stonier, Case and Abbie Quarrie in the 13/u freestyle and Harriet Perfect, Jess Richens and Eleanor Divine in the 15/u medley.

Bowman won the 11/u 50m butterfly and led off team-mates Amy Brown, Jessica Kelleway and Hermione Cull in both 9-11yrs relays.

The other winners were Henry Stanbrook in the 15/u 100m backstroke and the 13/u freestyle team of Ethan Bell, Trevin Michelo, Harley Kenny and Tiger Kelleway.

  • Poole – champions of Division One last year – will finish mid-table in the Premier section after coming fourth at Weston-super-Mare for the second gala running.

Their winners against opponents who included national champions Plymouth Leander and a star-studded Swansea team were Jacob Peters and Robbie Hemmings in the 15/u and 11/u backstroke.

  • In Division One, Seagulls and Swim Bournemouth B will both be hoping for a place in the top final after finishing third in their respective galas.

Seagulls’ five wins at Horfield, Bristol, all came in the 11/u age group – from Miles Ward and Alice Webb in the 50m freestyle, Ben Neaton in the 50m breaststroke and the boys’ relay teams of Ward, Alfie Gormley, Kai Weeks and Isaac Ellis (freestyle) and Ward, Neaton, Ellis and Gormley (medley).

Beth Gormley broke a club record in the 200m IM with 2:26.20.

  • Swim Bournemouth B’s winners at Newport were Kamil Kowalski in the men’s 100m butterfly, Callum McGregor in the 15/u 100m breaststroke and in the 11/u age group Rosie Holland (50m breaststroke), Drew McGregor (50m butterfly) and the boys’ freestyle team.
