PIRATES asset Chris Holder reacted angrily after he was ruthlessly axed in a shock move by King's Lynn.

The Norfolk club announced yesterday that the former world champion and compatriot Troy Batchelor had been shown the door by owner Keith Chapman, who is also chairman of the British Speedway Promoters' Association.

And with the transfer deadline passed, the Ringwood-based flier's chances of racing in Britain again this year appear limited.

After news of his exit broke, Holder tweeted: “Well that pretty much sums up the boss of British speedway... releasing me and Troy a day after the cut-off date for signings... cheers.”

The 29-year-old is currently serving a 28-day ban after he was deemed to have refused to ride in two heats against Pirates last month.

It is understood that Holder and some of his Stars team-mates had reservations over track conditions at the Adrian Flux Arena.

In a further tweet referring to that meeting, Holder wrote: "King's Lynn should have refunded everyone for that garbage they served up to riders and fans."
