PIRATES star Jack Holder will partner Chris Harris in the SGB Championship Pairs at Somerset on Friday, July 21.

The duo will represent Peterborough in the traditional pre-British Grand Prix showpiece at the Oaktree Arena.

Holder has been in sensational form for the Panthers this season, dropping just seven points in his past seven meetings.

All 10 second-tier clubs are involved, spilt into two groups.

Sheffield’s Josh Grajczonek is a double previous winner of the event, having triumphed with Somerset in 2013 and 2016 prior to the Rebels’ elevation to the SGB Premiership.

Edinburgh’s Sam Masters and Danny King of Ipswich will be looking to repeat their victories of 2014 and 2015, respectively, although they will have different partners this time round.

Group A: Richard Lawson & Aaron Summers (Glasgow), Chris Harris & Jack Holder (Peterborough), Danny King & Rory Schlein (Ipswich), Thomas Jorgensen & Ty Proctor (Workington), Michael Palm Toft & Lewis Kerr (Scunthorpe).

Group B: Sam Masters & Erik Riss (Edinburgh) Robert Lambert & Steve Worrall (Newcastle), Josh Grajczonek & Kyle Howarth (Sheffield), Charles Wright & Ben Barker (Redcar), Nick Morris & David Howe (Berwick).
