BRADY Kurtz and Jack Holder found their rivals too hot to handle in the SGB Premiership Pairs – but there was title delight for Pirates asset Chris Holder.

Kurtz and Holder junior managed just seven points between them at Somerset's Oaktree Arena, meaning they finished bottom of Group B.

King's Lynn duo Chris Holder and Robert Lambert topped the group on 21 points before seeing off Swindon's Jason Doyle and Nick Morris in the semis.

The Stars pair defeated Wolverhampton's Freddie Lindgren and Jacob Thorssell in the final, aided by Lindgren's third-lap retirement.

Holder said: "It's a great way for me to get my season going. It was a tough meeting but Rob was on a mission and we worked well as a team."
