SEASONED campaigner Bjarne Pedersen is open to a return to Poole next season.
The 38-year-old former Grand Prix star replaced Davey Watt in April and helped Pirates reach the play-offs.
But injury cruelly ended Pedersen's campaign before the semi-final second-leg defeat to eventual champions Wolverhampton.
The British Speedway Promoters' Association is next week (November 1-3) due to determine the points limit – and a string of other rules – for the 2017 season.
Asked whether he would consider coming back to Wimborne Road, Poole legend Pedersen said: "At the beginning of next month we will know how the rules will be and what changes there will be.
"I will not lock any doors. I'm open to it. It's always great to come back to Poole and it was fantastic to be there this year."
Pedersen added: "It was a big frustration to miss the meeting at Wolverhampton because when you have done the whole season, you look forward to the play-offs and that's when it counts.
"You have done all the work so to miss out on the fun bit was a shame."
Pedersen is the second-highest scorer in Pirates history, with Craig Boyce the only rider to have racked up more points in the skull and crossbones.
