DORSET & Wilts booked their place in the knockout stages of the RFU Under-20 County Championship following a convincing 43-7 victory over Devon at Chapel Gate.

The Twin Counties, who drew their first game against Somerset, will be hoping to finish top of pool four to earn home advantage in the next phase.

Dorset & Wilts will have a keen eye on the final group match which sees Devon host Somerset at Okehampton on March 19.

Bournemouth lock Sam Bailey played a starring role as Dorset & Wilts forged ahead thanks to two tries from Sherborne prop Harry Wilson, both converted by club-mate Rhodri Hopkins.

Chippenham's Sam Graham crashed over to touch down as Dorset & Wilts made it 19-0 at the break before Hopkins added a penalty.

A try from Salisbury's James Hill, converted by Hopkins, sealed the winning bonus point for the Twin Counties before Devon got on the scoresheet with a converted try.

Bournemouth second row James Fisher and Salisbury's James Bagguley added late tries, with Hopkins converting both, to bring proceedings to a close.
