BOURNEMOUTH head coach Will Croker believes an early-season win over Launceston would have been "a gimme" but insists that is no longer the case.

The teams are due to lock horns at Chapel Gate tomorrow (2.30pm), Lions hoping to end a three-game losing run in National Three South West and third-bottom Launceston keen to build on a morale-boosting draw with high-fliers Old Redcliffians last week.

Croker told the Daily Echo: "We know it is going to be a hard game. At the beginning of the season it looked like Launceston was going to be a gimme but they drew with Old Reds so they have obviously managed to get themselves playing well.

"We can't take anything for granted and in some respects that's probably a good thing because if we went into the game complacent then we could come unstuck again. We are going to be absolutely on it this week and looking to get back to winning ways.

"It's just a case of steadying the ship. We're in eighth place and it's not ideal. It's certainly not where we wanted to be at this stage.

"But there is a huge amount of the season still to go. We've played eight games and there still another 18 left. We don't need to panic."
