SWANAGE & Wareham surrendered a 19-point advantage as they fell to a 22-19 defeat at Reading in South West One East.
The rock-bottom visitors, who look certain to be relegated, earned a losing bonus point.
With the wind in their favour, Swans made a fast start and from a maul close to the try line, hooker Robert Elford powered over. Phil Graves added the extras.
Midway through the half, the visitors added to their score when from a catch-and-drive move, captain John Sheldrake touched down.
Three minutes before the break, scrum-half Chris Tomes dummied and squeezed his way across the line, with Graves slotting the conversion.
That was not the end of the first-half scoring, though, as Reading profited from a couple of penalties to score a converted try in the corner.
The home side further reduced the deficit two minutes after the restart, producing a well-worked catch-and-drive move of their own.
Conditions worsened and with 10 minutes to go, a surging break allowed Reading to score in the corner.
In the closing moments, a cross-field kick was collected and the hosts inched in front for the first time.
Meanwhile, in Southern Counties South, Dorset Dockers were beaten 33-14 by visitors North Dorset.
