DORSET & Wilts will hope to conclude their RFU County Shield pool campaign on a high on home territory on Saturday.

The Twin Counties host neighbours Hampshire at Swanage & Wareham’s Bestwall headquarters (3pm) off the back of a thumping win over Middlesex and a narrow victory over Essex.

Matt Pallas’s side head into this weekend top of Pool Three and they would find themselves up against either Leicestershire or Oxfordshire in the semi-final if they record a third win in a row.

Defeat could see Dorset & Wilts forced to take on either Warwickshire or Cumbria.

The Twin Counties made seven changes for the win over Essex and the likes of Swans’ Nick Audley and Wimborne duo Rob Best and Steve King – all of whom started the game – will again hope to be involved.

A large number of the Swans contingent had missed out due to their commitment to an end-ofseason club tour in Spain.

Dorset & Wilts are two-time winners after back-to-back successes at Twickenham in 2010 and 2011. Surrey have won the competition in each of the past three years.
