DORSET star Georgia Hall is targeting further success in 2017 after capping a terrific second full year on the Ladies' European Tour with her fifth straight top-10 finish.

The 20-year-old shot a two-under-par 70 in the third and final round of the Dubai Ladies' Masters at Emirates Golf Club, ending on five under overall and tying for fifth.

That effort earned Wimborne-based Hall a £14,000 payday and saw her finish fourth in the order of merit with earnings of more than £143,000.

While she may still be waiting for her first win on tour, the former Canford Kid has finished in the top 10 in LET events on no fewer than eight occasions this year.

For now, though, all Hall is focused on is enjoying some downtime over the festive period.

She said: "I played so well all year, pretty much, and I stayed consistent. I've really been happy and, hopefully, good things come next year.

"I'm not going to play golf for a while, maybe three or four weeks, so that will be quite nice even though I might miss it.

"I don't think I'll play in a tournament for a while. I'll try to get back into it in January or February."
