RISING star Georgia Hall is in no rush to join the LPGA Tour and believes age is on her side.

The Wimborne-based player finished second in the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies' Open in Abu Dhabi earlier this month, her best result on the Ladies' European Tour.

Hall, who turned professional in July 2014, is currently fourth in the LET order of merit but elected not to enter LPGA qualifying this year.

And the 20-year-old says she will take her time before heading across the Atlantic.

Speaking ahead of her return to action at the Qatar Ladies' Open today, Hall told the Daily Echo: "I was umming and ahhing about whether to enter LPGA qualifying after the British Open but I decided not to. There is a tour school next year so I might try then, but I don't know.

"I wanted to have two years on a tour first, I didn't want to rush anything. If you are undecided there is no point going because it costs so much money.

"I really enjoy playing on the LET. With a lot of the tournaments in Europe, I am close to home. I'm only 20 so there is no rush. I'm not too worried for now."

Ferndown GC's Hayley Davis, like Hall a former Canford Kid, was eliminated at the second stage of LPGA qualifying in Venice, Florida after finishing on 25 over par at Plantation Golf & Country Club.

Hall has not played competitively at Doha GC before but is in buoyant mood heading into this week's tournament.

She told the LET website: “It’s my first time here and I’m excited because the course is in great shape – the set-up is brilliant.

“This course is a slightly short for me but there are some reachable par fives so it’s a bit of a risk-reward course.

"I’m playing really well at the moment and am confident. I’ve got to stay patient and, hopefully, a win is around the corner.”
