BOURNEMOUTH’S Georgia Hall surged into the top 10 at the Turkish Open today as her formidable start to life on the Ladies European Tour continued.

The 19-year-old shot a second-round 71 at Carya Golf Club in Belek to elevate herself to tied-ninth on the leaderboard.

Three-under-par for the tournament, Parkstone-attached Hall is in fine company in the top 10 alongside the likes of Dame Laura Davies and Gwladys Nocera.

England’s world number 164 Melissa Reid leads the way on 12-under following a second-round 69.

Hall tweeted: “Happy with my first two rounds here at the Turkish Airlines Open! Two more to go, can’t wait!”

Brokenhurst Manor’s Liz Young slipped down the standings slightly following a one-over effort on the second day.

Young, who trains at Parley Golf Centre, had been one-under but dropped three shots after the turn to fire 74 and tie for 20th.

Young is due to tee off at 9.06am BST tomorrow while Hall is due to begin at the slightly later time of 9.28am BST.

Hall, who turned professional in July, is playing only her third Ladies European Tour event since joining the circuit full-time.

She had previously featured in the Buick Championship and the Lalla Meryem Cup.
