DAN Cann netted for a third game in succession as Hamworthy United registered a 3-1 win over Sydenhams Wessex Premier neighbours Poppies last night.

Eder Batista gave Poppies a 21st-minute lead at the County Ground before Eddie Hodge scored to restore parity on the stroke of half-time.

Brandon Randall, who also netted in Hammers' 3-1 win at Alresford on Saturday, made it 2-1 with Cann completing the scoring on the hour.

Lymington Town bounced back after suffering two cup exits to record an impressive 3-1 win over fellow Wessex Premier high-fliers AFC Portchester at the Sports Ground.

Owen Fee struck three minutes before half-time to cancel out Alex Baldacchino's early opener for Portchester.

And Sam House's second-half double sealed victory for Lymington following defeats to Farnham Town in the FA Vase and Andover New Street in the Sydenhams League Cup.
