RYAN Ashford’s dramatic late winner earned 10-man New Milton a 3-2 victory over Wessex One rivals Romsey on Tuesday.

Adam Louka netted to cancel out Wayne Boud’s opener for Romsey before the Linnets striker’s fine finish put the visitors in front just after the break.

However, New Milton had Lyam Texceira sent off for two yellow cards early in the second half before Carlo Raucci levelled four minutes from time.

But substitute Ashford came off the bench to rifle home an unstoppable drive in stoppage time as New Milton ended a three-match winless run.

  • Charlie Willett bagged his 14th goal of the season as Lymington recorded back-to-back victories thanks to a 1-0 win over Sydenhams Wessex Premier rivals Amesbury.

Willett broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half at the Sports Ground as Lymington registered a seventh win in their past eight games to move up to seventh.

  • Mark Ford’s sixth goal in as many games failed to prevent Hamworthy United from slipping to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Team Solent at the County Ground.

Ford scored to put the Hammers in front at the break, only for the visitors to hit back through Obeng Silvano’s double and goals from Jesse Waller Lassen and Tyrell Mitford.

  • Brockenhurst will be hoping to book a place in the final of the Southampton Senior Cup when they face Sydenhams Wessex Premier rivals Sholing in the last four tonight.

The tie takes place at Folland Park and the winners will meet Team Solent in the final (7.30pm).
