BOSS Matty Holmes spoke of his pride after Wimborne Town had suffered Dorset Senior Cup semi-final disappointment at Weymouth.
Goals from Ben Thomson and Jordan Copp ensured the Terras triumphed 2-0 and progressed to the final, where they will meet Swanage Town & Herston or Gillingham Town.
Weymouth forged ahead in the 28th minute when Copp delivered a precise ball across goal for Thomson, who tapped home.
And the lead was doubled seven minutes after the break, Copp racing through before finding the net with a shot which clipped the inside of the post before going in.
Reflecting on the display, Holmes told the Daily Echo: "They had two moments of quality which most probably decided the tie but, football-wise, I was really pleased with our boys. I thought we were just as good in possession at times.
"They played near enough their full first team. You have to take your opportunities against a team who are a league higher but I can't fault the boys. They worked their socks off.
"It's a tough competition to get to the final when you have teams like Weymouth, Poole and Dorchester around. We've had a hard route through but it's been a great experience for the players."
Swanage's scheduled trip to Gillingham on Tuesday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
