MATTY Holmes has urged his Wimborne Town players to be "brave" on a Mangotsfield playing surface he admits "doesn't look great".
Magpies are due to travel to Cossham Street in Southern South & West tomorrow (3pm) and boss Holmes is expecting heavy conditions.
He told the Daily Echo: "It will be very tough. The pitch doesn't look great there so we will just have to be resolute.
"I might be wrong but from what I saw of the highlights of their game against Evesham two weeks ago, the pitch looked quite muddy.
"We need people to be brave and at the right times try to get the ball down and take responsibility.
"We've got good enough players and they have had long enough with us to know how we want to play.
"We need to be better in possession away from home. The challenge to the boys is that when we have the ball, make best use of it."
Holmes was hopeful Billy Maybury would be fit to take his place in the side. Maybury has just returned from suspension but has been nursing a calf problem.
Meanwhile, Magpies' away clash with Shortwood has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 7.
