WIMBORNE Town have bolstered their resources by signing Weymouth midfielder Billy Lowes on a month’s loan.
The former Poole Town man won Weymouth’s online player of the month for August and October this season but has found it difficult to secure a starting spot in recent weeks.
Terras boss Jason Matthews is adamant Lowes still has “a big future” at the Bob Lucas Stadium and has decided to give him some game time at Cuthbury.
Lowes could feature when Wimborne travel to Southern League Division One South & West high-fliers Swindon Supermarine tomorrow (3pm).
Matthews told the Dorset Echo: “Billy has been brilliant for me this season.
“Obviously, I have gone with a little bit of experience with the current predicament we are in.
“Billy understands the situation and I just don’t want him to be sitting around at 19-years-old, not playing. I think it’s a move that suits both parties.
“It’s nothing permanent, it’s just to get him game time for the next month. He has a big future at the club and Billy knows that. I want him to be playing.”
