BOSS Simon Browne has appealed for Dorset's non-league fraternity to turn out in force to boost Wimborne Town's bid for off-field survival.

Magpies host Banbury United in Southern South & West tomorrow (3pm) with Browne hoping this week's well-documented financial troubles will attract a healthy crowd.

"While I'm keen to focus on the football, we understand that the financial situation is what it is," said Browne. "Getting people through the gate will not only help with the off-field issues but could even help us keep the squad together.

"The supporters have been great in pledging their support for the squad. Not everyone can afford to chip in to the fund but if they can get along to the games, I am sure it will make a positive difference."

Browne said he anticipated no departures ahead of the clash, despite the imminent threat of Wimborne's playing budget being axed.

Portsmouth youngster Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to return but James Stokoe (suspended), Billy Maybury and Louis Kellaway (both unavailable) miss out.

Christchurch entertain Tadley Calleva in Division One, New Milton Town could leapfrog Downton with victory at Fawcett's Field, while Ringwood sail across the Solent to take on East Cowes Victoria (all 3pm).
