ALAN Lay's last game in charge of Swanage Town & Herston ended in defeat as Balti Sports emerged with a 4-0 win.

Josh Burton slotted home the opener in the 19th minute and Sam Nicholls doubled the lead with a header eight minutes after the break.

Further efforts from Charlie May and Danny Andrews sent Balti back to the top of the Dorset Premier League.

Merley bagged their sixth straight win with a 5-0 thumping of South Cheriton. They led 1-0 at the break thanks to a Grant Cormack strike and in the second period the visitors extended their lead further.

Three dismissals marred Hamworthy United reserves' 2-0 win over Bridport reserves. Josh Rose and Brad Miles scored before Hamworthy's Callum Ballard and Bridport's Sam Day and Chris Herbst were sent off.

Martin Warren levelled at 1-1 for Rec but after they had gone behind again, Dom Falco and James Moores won it for the hosts.

Parley were hammered 4-1 at home by Sherborne reserves while Cranborne also succumbed to a heavy defeat, losing 4-0 at Westland.

Holt triumphed 4-1 at Wareham despite playing 76 minutes with 10 men. Mike Haskell, Paul Lane, Charlie Helyar and Haskell netted for Holt. Richard Parsons bagged Wareham's consolation.
