MANAGER Callum Brooks has urged last season’s squad to come back fit and firing for a fiercely competitive pre-season at New Milton Town.

Brooks told the Daily Echo: “We’re busy preparing for another season but it’s a bit early to sign anyone up just yet.

“We have had a lot of interest ahead of pre-season so will have a look at players before whittling them down into a squad.

“Most of our players from last season are keen to stay so there are no dramas.

“Hopefully, they can build on some of the positive steps they made last season.”

The Sydenhams Wessex One outfit have lined up five pre-season matches so far, starting with trips to Poole Borough on Saturday, July 18 and Merley Cobham Sports three days later.

The Linnets then travel to Brockenhurst on Tuesday, July 28 and Bashley on Saturday, August 1. Bemerton visit Fawcett’s Field on Tuesday, August 4.
