ADAM Frohlich netted twice as Wareham Rangers bounced back from their shock defeat by Poole Borough to put Sturminster Marshall to the sword at Purbeck Sports Centre.

Rangers, beaten 5-1 by the revitalised Hornets a week previously, ran out convincing 4-1 winners against bottom-placed Marshall.

Jordan Basing opened the scoring after 20 minutes before Michael Finch doubled the hosts’ lead seven minutes later.

And Frohlich’s first goal eight minutes before half-time saw Rangers establish a comfortable 3-0 advantage at the break.

Although Marshall pulled one back through Dean Robertson in the 51st minute, Frohlich got his second and Rangers’ fourth after 76 minutes to complete the scoring.

  • Swanage Town & Herston surrendered a 2-0 half-time lead and went down 3-2 against Weymouth reserves at Day’s Park.

Searching for their first league win since mid-December, Swans made a promising start and eased ahead thanks to goals from Graeme Rose and Tony Parrott.

However, a hat-trick from in-form Terras frontman Josh Tennant (pictured) saw Swans sunk under a second-half blitz as their winless run extended to six games.

The former Dorchester striker turned the game on its head with three goals in a destructive 15-minute spell.

And although Weymouth were reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Sammy Nichols for a second booking late on, Swans were unable to fashion an equaliser.

  • Chris Bush bagged the only goal of the game eight minutes from time as Cranborne edged past Tintinhull to register their first home win of the season at the 14th attempt.
