POOLE Town claimed a one-wicket victory over local rivals Broadstone at the Delph.

Having elected to bat first, Broadstone were in trouble at nine for two after Pete Russell and Rory Triniman fell quickly.

However, helped by a useful 48 from James Brown, which included 10 fours, they reached 142 all out. Joe Wilson took four for 33.

In reply, Poole lost a couple of early wickets but rallied and Jacques Van Wyk top-scored on 41 as the visitors reached their target in the 40th over.

Carlyle Collins took three for 54 for Broadstone.

Elsewhere, Parley suffered a 10-wicket hammering at the hands of visitors Sherborne.

Only Harrison Clarke (28) got into double figures as Parley made a paltry 61. Shane Pulling claimed six for 30.

Matt Jamieson (38) and Luke Hancock (14) quickly secured victory for the away side.

Harry Beardsley took a memorable six for 32 for Wimborne & Colehill as they restricted Dorchester to 135.

And George Bartlett (31*) and James Miller (29*) ensured the visitors grabbed a four-wicket win.

Swanage reached 204 at Abbotsbury with Tom Salmon blasting 54 and Mike Salmon 32.

However, the hosts took just 30 overs to gain a five-wicket victory as Chris Duerdoth hit an unbeaten 72.
