SKIPPER James Park insists New Milton’s superb form has made them a target for their Southern Premier League rivals.

The Green and Golds have a 100 per cent win record after six league fixtures and sit at the top of Division One.

New Milton are due to host third-placed Basingstoke & North Hants at Fernhill tomorrow (1pm) as they aim to continue their fine start.

And Park told the Daily Echo: “The team is full of confidence and we can’t do anything wrong as far as the game goes. But this is another week and another game.

“People will want to come to New Milton and put one over us because we have played six and won six but we’re looking forward to the challenge.

“I think it’s going to be a tricky test against Basingstoke but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before.

"We don’t mind playing the tougher teams when we are playing well.”
