DORSET suffered their second defeat in as many Unicorns Trophy outings as they were sunk by Wiltshire today.

The Dean Park side were beaten by three wickets at Warminster Cricket Club.

Having won the toss and elected to bat, the visitors made a decent start as they made it to three figures for the loss of just two wickets.

Opener Masoor Khan enjoyed a solid day’s work at the crease as he knocked 68 runs off 88 balls during just over two hours at the crease.

Khan was eventually run out by Ed Kilbee, a fate also suffered by Chris Jones who had pitched in with 32.

After Khan departed with Dorset just short of the 150 mark, modest progress continued.

Captain Chris Park (21) and tail-ender Mike Kitson (18) weighed in as Dorset were bowled out for 217 in the 47th over.

In reply, Wiltshire started in determined fashion, although competitive debutant and leg spinner Jem Warner claimed the scalps of openers Steve Bullen (42) and Tom Morton (29).

Michael Coles added 26 and Ashur Morrison (44) and Nick Harrison (20) finished the job.
