RAINED OFF: Parley's run of 12 straight wins was halted by the weekend's weather
ALL of Saturday’s Dorset Premier League matches were abandoned after a downpours had made pitches unplayable.
Arguably, the biggest losers were table-toppers Parley, who were on course to become the first team in the league’s history to win every top-flight match.
However, Roshan Embalagama’s men could still rewrite the record books by winning their final five fixtures to become the first team to enjoy two unbeaten seasons in the competition.
Parley proved unstoppable in 2000 when they won 16 with two no results, while Bournemouth had previously held the only unbeaten record with 16 wins, one draw and three no results in 1994.
