CHERRIES' on-loan keeper Ryan Allsop says he feels comfortable at Lincoln having made a superb start to life at Sincil Bank.

The 25-year-old joined the League Two club on transfer deadline day and has impressed Imps supporters with his displays.

On his debut in the Checkatrade Trophy semi-final, Allsop saved a penalty in the shootout to help his team book their spot at Wembley.

And the former Leyton Orient man followed that up with clean sheets against Cambridge United and Cheltenham Town in the league.

Allsop told the Lincolnshire Echo: "I’m delighted with the way it’s gone so far. I feel so comfortable here.

“The manager, the staff, the players, the fans – everyone around the club have made me feel so welcome. That plays a massive part in things.

“Since the day I came through the doors, everyone has been very welcoming. It’s such a big help to feel at home straight away.

“That plays a massive part in performances. If you’re happy with the environment, then I think it shows in the performances.”

Allsop spent the first half of the campaign at League One side Blackpool, where he made 23 appearances.

He has also had loan stints at Portsmouth, Wycombe and Coventry.
