CHERRIES defender Jordan Lee has been ruled out indefinitely after suffering chest pains.

Lee, who is currently on loan at Torquay, is undergoing tests after waking up yesterday feeling discomfort in his chest.

The 20-year-old was taken to hospital by Gulls physiotherapist Gareth Law and will not play again until doctors have got to the bottom of the problem.

Lee, who has featured twice for Cherries in the FA Cup, comes from Ferndown and has been on the club's books since he was 12.

He came off the bench in Torquay's 0-0 draw with Tranmere in the National League on Saturday and was replaced after 64 minutes during their 3-2 defeat at Aldershot on Tuesday.

Torquay player-manager Kevin Nicholson said: "Jordan woke up with discomfort in his chest yesterday.

"Gareth Law took him to hospital for tests.

"It's probably a virus, maybe something similar to what Aman Verma had last season, and we don't think it's anything major, but when it's chest or heart-related, you can't be too careful.

"Jordan is probably going to have to go to St George's Park (FA Centre at Burton) for more tests and, until ourselves and Bournemouth are sure that he's okay, he's not available to us."

Lee is in his second loan spell with the Devon club and has made 11 appearances for them.
