SKIPPER Simon Francis insists Cherries must stick to their high-energy pressing game.

Cherries were victims of the tactic during the first half of their 2-2 draw with Italian giants Napoli on Sunday.

Dries Mertens’s deflected goal earned the visitors a deserved interval lead with Cherries having played second fiddle for much of the opening period.

But goals from Benik Afobe and Francis turned the tables in the second half before Piotr Zielinski grabbed a late equaliser.

Francis told the Daily Echo: "You come across it a lot in the Premier League now, teams which press high.

"If you are going to play out from the back, it is tough to do it against a high press and Napoli did it to us in the first half. We sat off them a little and let them have the ball.

"The second half was almost a role reversal. I thought we caught them on the ball a lot of times and created chances.

"That was where our goals came from and it just goes to show we are at our best when we are pressing high, using our pace trying to get in behind and causing problems.

"We pressed them high in the second half and it worked a treat for us because we got our rewards."
