JACK Wilshere left White Hart Lane on crutches and with his left foot in a protective boot this afternoon.

The Cherries star, on loan from Arsenal, was whisked away in a black Mercedes, rather than leaving the ground on the team coach.

Wilshere, making his 22nd Premier League start of the campaign in Cherries' 4-0 defeat, was injured shortly after half-time.

He lost the ball in midfield, before chasing back to try to recover possession as the home team launched an attack.

After Artur Boruc had saved Harry Kane's eventual shot, the back tracking Wilshere remained on the floor, to the delight of the home team's fans who had spent large parts of the game taunting the attacker for his affiliation to their north London rivals.

Wilshere was treated by the touchline and subsequently attempted to rejoin play, but immediately signalled that he would not be able to continue. He limped down the tunnel after 56 minutes, being replaced by Lewis Cook.

Eddie Howe said after the game that he was yet to speak to the player but the Cherries boss will have his fingers crossed for good news on Wilshere's condition.

The 25-year-old has started each of his team's past three matches after a brief spell out of the side.

He arrived at Dean Court in a bid to reignite his injury-hit career and the move had been working, with Wilshere playing regular football for the first time in three years.

If he has picked up a season-ending injury at Tottenham then the England international could conceivably have played his last game in a Cherries shirt.

He is due to return to Arsenal in the summer and has one year remaining on his Emirates Stadium contract.
