JASON Tindall insists Cherries were beaten by one of world football's most talented sides on Saturday.

Cherries were thumped 4-0 at Manchester City with the hosts laying on some dazzling football.

However, assistant boss Tindall says his team are now fully focused on bouncing back against visitors Preston in the EFL Cup tonight (7.45pm).

Tindall told the Daily Echo: "It was a disappointing result on our behalf and we felt we weren't at our best but we were coming up against probably one of the best teams in the world right now.

"They have a lot of quality and a manager who, in my opinion, is the best in the world. I think he has proved that wherever he has been.

"His teams play great football and work extremely hard and they have some outstanding individuals so I certainly think they will be the team to beat this year.

"We were disappointed to lose 4-0 but that is now in the back of our minds and now our main focus is on Preston."

Meanwhile, an AFC Bournemouth XI is due to travel to Brockenhurst in the Hampshire Senior Cup second round tomorrow. Bashley host Aldershot Town in the same competition tonight (7.45pm).
