EXETER boss Paul Tisdale has labelled Cherries as “very progressive” ahead of the teams’ head-to-head at St James Park.

The Grecians lost 2-0 to Eddie Howe’s men in last season’s League Cup first-round tie with Tisdale impressed by the visitors’ display.

And the boss, who plans to utilise plenty of his squad in tomorrow’s warm-up fixture (3pm), says the clash could be a lively affair.

Tisdale told the Express & Echo: “There was a lot of attacking play in the League Cup game and I imagine it will be more of the same on Saturday. It will be a good opportunity to see a very progressive team.

“They have had fantastic couple of years and will be high on confidence on the back of their promotion to the Premier League.

“I imagine they will be in the same bracket as us in terms of playing different players and moving things around but is should be a very entertaining game. They certainly play a very attacking, exciting brand of football.

“I think it will possibly be a little bit more creative and attacking than your average pre-season friendly, so I’m really looking forward to it.”

Tisdale could give game time to trialist Alex Fisher, who featured in Exeter’s friendlies at East Fife and Arbroath.
