CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe could be in a line for a fourth Championship manager-of-the-month gong this season after being nominated for April’s prize.
With four wins and two draws, Cherries extended to 12 matches their unbeaten sequence and all but secured Premier League football with Monday’s 3-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers.
Howe’s charges kicked off the month with a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Ipswich on Good Friday with loan striker Kenwyne Jones notching his first goal in the red and black.
Cherries then completed a memorable comeback from two goals down to beat Birmingham 4-2, while solid showings secured maximum points and clean sheets from trips to Brighton and Reading.
Sheffield Wednesday rescued a last-ditch point at Dean Court before this week’s champagne moment against the Trotters.
Watford manager Slavisa Jokanovic, whose side are guaranteed an automatic promotion place after five wins and a draw in April, joins Norwich’s Alex Neil and Birmingham City's Gary Rowett on the list of Sky Bet's nominees for the monthly award.
The winner, picked by a panel featuring ex-Ipswich boss George Burley and former Wolves striker Don Goodman, will be announced tomorrow.
