HARRY Arter’s chances of winning his first full cap have been boosted following his inclusion in the Republic of Ireland’s final squad for their European Championship qualifier against Poland.

The Cherries midfielder was named earlier this month in a provisional 35-strong party for the Group D clash at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Sunday, March 29.

And Arter, who netted a stunning strike in Cherries’ 3-0 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday, kept his place after manager Martin O’Neill whittled it down over the weekend.

Arter will link up with the squad later today to start preparing for a contest which sees the Republic, currently fourth and level on seven points with Germany and Scotland, face the leaders.
