THERE was a big shock in the Hayward Premier League when Foresters Arms picked up their first points of the season in a well-deserved 3-1 victory over league leaders Bournemouth Electric thanks to Adam Clark, Ross Clark and Alex Davis.

Chris Forbes and Lee Clark netted for East Christchurch SSC but the reigning champions were unable to capitalise on Electric’s slip with West Moors SSC upending them 5-2 courtesy of Nathan Saxby’s hat-trick and further goals from Mike Haskell and Jason Lovell.

DIVISIONS ONE & TWO SAM Adams and Paul Blenman struck for Bournemouth Electric Reserves but Parley Sports had the upper hand 4-2 in Division One thanks to Matt Newbery’s hat-trick and a goal from Richard Hamshere.

Unbeaten Priory Quays are nine points clear in Division Two after Ian Sanders (2), James Newman, Dan Bartlett and Lee Rimmer ensured a 5-1 triumph over Littledown.

Nearest rivals New Star United managed to preserve their unbeaten record despite having two sent off in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth Athletic. Mark Walker and Jason Cliffe were the United scorers with Athletic replying through Dan Farnon and an own goal.

DIVISIONS THREE & FOUR AFC Burns Lettings netted through Stuart Johnson, Steve Lucas and Jason Ellis in Division Three but they had to settle for a point when Matty Ings, Mark Pudney and Alan O’Grady earned Rec Athletic a 3-3 draw.

Shoulder of Mutton United take over on top of Division Four on goal difference after hammering Aspect 8-0 with goals from Tom Hall (2), Sam Elliott (2), Sam Goodwin (2), Jamie Moores and Luke Whittaker.

Anthony Mitchell’s hat-trick for Rias was to no avail when AFC Westvale swept them aside 6-3 thanks to Jason Bryant’s hat-trick and further goals from Andy Gosling (2) and Richard Vaughan.

DIVISIONS FIVE & SIX LOVETT are a point adrift of Division Five leaders Queens Park Rovers Reserves with a game in hand after Sandor Wilson and Steve Woodward gave them the edge 2-1 against Vienna Windows Reserves.

Second-placed Greenfields WMF netted through Luke Miles and Ben Platt but they were denied two vital points in Division Six when Canford Rangers held them to a 2-2 draw with goals from Tom Cheetham and Joe Lawford.

DIVISION SEVEN LV FC lead the table on goal difference after their 4-1 victory over Chaseside Wanderers, and Sunseekers are next in line after Adam Tilsed (2), Dave Greaves (2), Andy Phillips and Dave Higgins gave Ferndown Forest a 6-1 drubbing.

Third-placed Victoria Park Royals shaded it 3-2 against DH Britannia with goals from Mark Rixon, Adam Cowdrill and John Bailey, and Pines TRC complete the quartet locked together at the top with 18 points after Pete Valinski scored both goals in their 2-1 win over previously unbeaten AKD Allstars.

DIVISION EIGHT JAMES & James stay in touch with the leading pair after Neil Smith, Darren Spence and Craig Frampton ensured a 3-1 success against Priory Quays Reserves.

George Bull went on the rampage with five goals in Shoulder of Mutton Reserves’ 12-2 trouncing of Carling Sports Reserves, with Sam Warren adding four and Stacy Wellington, Aaron Ticehurst and Mike Cobb.
