DORSET bookmakers Jem Racing are counting the cost of Eddie Howe returning to Goldsands Stadium as Cherries' new manager.
The award-winning independent took a number of lumpy bets on Howe when he was priced at 2-1 to be named as Paul Groves's successor.
Jake Whitaker, a Cherries supporter, is Jem Racing's manager in their Ashley Road shop. He said: “We are delighted to have him back and will be paying out with a smile on our faces!”
Meanwhile, Jem Racing slashed Cherries' odds for promotion following news of Howe's return. They are now 66-1 to win League One, 20-1 to gain promotion and 8-1 to finish in the top six.
