CHRISTCHURCH manager Graham Kemp believes the signing of Max Frampton puts the finishing touches to his title-chasing squad.

The experienced stopper this week moved to Hurn Bridge after seeing his first-team opportunities limited at Priory’s Wessex League rivals Bournemouth Poppies .

Formerly with Brockenhurst , Hamworthy United and |Poole Town , Frampton has plenty of Wessex League experience to his name.

Kemp says Frampton will have to be patient behind ever-present keeper Jason Collins, who has conceded just twice in six Premier Division matches.

But he was happy to seal a deal for Frampton.

Boss Kemp told the Daily Echo: “I have got cover in every position but didn’t have what I would class as suitable cover for a goalkeeper to maintain our form if Jason got injured.

“Max will keep Jason on his toes and he knows if his level |dips, there is someone to take his place.

“Max is experienced and is good in the changing room. It makes the squad more or less complete.”

Frampton will be on the bench when Christchurch bid for a seventh straight Wessex Premier win at high-flying Alresford Town tomorrow (3pm).
