MATT Metcalfe will be hoping to take his rich vein of form into July after being named Southern Premier League cricketer of the month for June.

The Bournemouth paceman scooped the award for Division One after helping the Lions claim three wins during a rain-interrupted month.

Metcalfe (5-50) ripped through the Ventnor top order as Bournemouth beat the Islanders by eight wickets and also starred with bat and ball in their win over Alton.

The 26-year-old claimed another five-wicket haul and hit an unbeaten 24 as Bournemouth eased to a five-wicket victory over Alton at Chapel Gate.

Metcalfe will be looking to repeat his heroics when Bournemouth host Lymington at Chapel Gate tomorrow (11.30am). The visitors are boosted by the return of all-rounder Damian Shirazi.

Second-placed Bashley visit Totton & Eling (11.30am), while New Milton travel to Hambledon in Division Two (1pm).
