COMMONWEALTH gold medallist Karen Legg-Crumpler was the guest of honour for the Dorset School Games final at the Littledown Centre.
Legg-Crumpler, who also swam in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, led the parade and presented medals at the Dorset Schools Swimming Association Primary Finals.
Four-hundred pupils, aged nine to 12-years-old, from eight areas of the county competed in the final showdown.
Top prize went to East Dorset with Bournemouth claiming the runners-up spot ahead of West Dorset.
There was an original entry of more than 2,000 school pupils who competed in 16 qualifying galas.
The event’s co-organiser, Active Dorset, supplied coloured hats, T-shirts and certificates for every swimmer who reached the Littledown final.
School Games – Primary Final result: 1 East Dorset 210 points, 2 Bournemouth 182, 3 West Dorset 180, 4 Weyport 174, =5 Poole and North Dorset 155, 7 Christchurch 139, 8 Purbeck 79.
