BOSS Lee Bradbury admits he is “under pressure” to get results and is hoping to help Cherries turn the tide against League One high-fliers Sheffield Wednesday.

Defeat by leaders Charlton on Saturday, courtesy of Yann Kermorgant’s stoppage-time header, saw Cherries beaten for the fourth game in succession.

Bradbury’s men head to Hillsborough bidding to avoid an unwanted second nap of the season having lost five league games in a row in August and September.

The last Cherries manager to suffer a quintet of consecutive defeats was Kevin Bond in his first five league games at the helm in October 2006.

Asked following the Charlton reverse whether he was feeling the pressure, Bradbury replied: “I’m under pressure week in, week out to get results.

“It is hard to take because we are having good performances but we are not getting anything at the end of them.”

Meanwhile, Bradbury is backing his strike-force of Wes Thomas and Matt Tubbs to come good following a lean time for the pair. Thomas has gone seven games without scoring, while Tubbs has netted once in five starts since his big-money move from Crawley in January.

Discussing his decision to drop Tubbs against the Addicks, Bradbury added: “Matt has been great.

“I spoke to him about it and he understood my reasoning for it and was 100 per cent behind the boys. When he came on, he put himself about and worked hard.”
