DORSET under-17s enjoyed mixed fortunes in their matches against Somerset and Cornwall.
The mixed team were whitewashed 5-0 against Somerset before edging out the Cornish 3-2.
Adam Aldridge was the star performer against Somerset despite losing to their rivals’ number one player Jamie Barber.
Dorset’s other team members were Lara Small, Ben Skidmore, Kirsty Small and Scott McGrail.
In the match against Cornwall, Kirsty Small gave Dorset a winning start by beating Nicola Hardwick 3-1.
Lara Small and Skidmore both won their matches to secure victory with two games remaining.
McGrail ran his opponent close in each set, but was beaten 3-0.
Aldridge pushed Cornwall’s number one player Sam Fanson all the way before suffering a similar scoreline.
