NEW Milton boss Glenn Burnett reckons stunning headers from Alex Moth and Alex Baldacchino would have had pundit Alan Hansen drooling.

The pair both netted as Linnets continued their rapid climb away from the Wessex Premier relegation zone with an impressive 4-2 win at Totton & Eling on Tuesday.

Cherries apprentice Moth started the ball rolling with a finely-taken first-half opener before his thumping header made it 2-0 five minutes into the second period.

Diminutive striker Baldacchino then rose majestically to nod home his 28th league goal of the season before Ian Proctor’s delicate chip gave the visitors a 4-0 cushion.

Burnett, who has guided Linnets to five wins in their past six league games, said: “You won’t see two better headers anywhere this season. If they had been on Match of the Day, they would have been played over and over again with Alan Hansen saying “awesome” in the background!

“Alex Moth’s was a bullet header into the top corner from a brilliant cross by Callum Davies and little Alex Baldacchino got between two giant defenders to power his into the roof of the net.

“All the goals were good but I couldn’t believe what I was watching with those two. We scored three times in a mad five-minute spell and then tired a little to let them back in.

“We took control after we had scored the first goal and it was wave after wave of attack.”

Victory hoisted Linnets into 16th place in the table.
