BOSS Glenn Burnett knows New Milton could find themselves in Wessex League heaven or hell following a potentially-defining seven-week period.

Linnets, currently seven points above the Premier Division drop zone, face four of their fellow strugglers in their next six games.

Burnett’s men will be bidding to register their first double of the season when they host Horndean at Fawcett’s Field tomorrow (3pm).

“It is a massive game,” said Burnett. “In fact, the next few weeks are going to be make-or-break time. We have got to get ourselves out of trouble and these are the games to do it.

“We are not going to get a better opportunity. We have got four games against mid-to-lower table opposition and have already beaten some of the teams around us.

“The bottom two are due meet next week and if one of them were to win, it would tighten things up. We can either pull away or get dragged back into it.”

Burnett has a full-strength squad and has been boosted after Cherries hinted work experience trio Alex Moth, Harrison Gilkes and Ryan Case would be available for the rest of the season, as did Havant & Waterlooville regarding loan man Alex Baldacchino.
