CHRISTCHURCH manager Graham Kemp was gracious in defeat after watching Priory’s FA Vase adventure end with a 3-0 defeat at Bitton.
Kemp admitted the Western League hosts had deserved to progress after goals from Brandon Barnes, Mark Salter and Rob Smart booked their place in the fourth round.
He said: “When you go away from home, you need to be strong and disciplined, and a defensive mix-up gifted them a goal. They were better than us and deserved the win.”
Priory do not have long to regroup.
They visit Gosport Borough in the third round of the Hampshire Senior Cup tonight.
Priory: Kearn, Grace (Costello, 60), Legg, Crutchley, Brian, Burden (Kittle, 70), M Smith, Fairbrother, Osborne, Burt (Roberts, 55), Griffin. Unused subs: C Smith, Dand.
