STRUGGLING Wimborne slumped to a 2-1 defeat against basement boys Stourport – but manager Steve Cuss insisted they had deserved better.
Magpies again conceded early goals as their winless run stretched to nine games – two draws and seven losses – after goals from Danny Scheppel and Calvin Dinsley.
In-form striker Matt Kemble converted a penalty but Magpies failed to find an equaliser and are just one point off the foot of the table.
Cuss said: “I think our performance probably deserved something but, similar to previous games, we gave ourselves a bit of a mountain to climb.”
Magpies: Ackerman, Arnold, Cole, Jamison, Peprah-Annan, Wakefield, Davidson, Webb, Kemble, Clowes, Cream. Unused subs: Maybury, Magookin, Cousins, Battison, Harvell (g/k).
